Scrapblog brings powerful media layout to the web

“The amount of smooth control over layout that Scrapblog allows is really impressive. [snip] Scrapbook is lots of fun to use just for its web interface.”
Marshall Kirkpatrick, Techcrunch
One of the rewards of success in a services business is where demand exceeds supply and you’re able to pick and choose your clients. We’re currently fortunate enough to be in that position and one of the clients we have had the privilege of working with this year is Miami-based Scrapblog.
Their concept for a web-based photo enhancing tool is inspired and even pre-release they’re starting to gather an impressive array of interest and reviews from VCs, users and industry press alike. They have just returned from a trip to California where they presented to both Techcrunch in San Francisco and the Demo conference in San Diego. Have a look at this stunning 6 minute video which briefly outlines the product’s capabilities, or this review by Techcrunch’s Marshall Kirkpatrick. Our own brilliant Alex Hofsteede was the Lead Developer for the core canvas component of Scrapblog where he found countless opportunities to practice his college geometry, trigonometry and matrix multiplication math skills. Scrapblog represents to my mind a new era in the web as an application platform and an exciting glimpse of the potential of Rich Internet Application technology.
